Saturday – Day 1
OLBIA / NUORO / ORGOSOLO / ORISTANO
Arrival in Olbia, and we will leave by bus to Oristano. We stop in Nuoro, to visit the Museum of Custom and Popular Traditions of Sardinia, which preserves a rich documentation on the habits and customs of life in Sardinia. We will have lunch with Orgosolo shepherds, with the typical menu of the place. In the evening, we will arrive to Oristano, we will go for sightseeing, and then hotel accommodation in private rooms, dinner and overnight.
Sunday – Day 2
Full board in hotel. The whole day is dedicated to the Sartiglia, the characteristic carnival event of Oristano. This is a contest of skill, in which riders “Componidores”, dressed in traditional clothes with the characteristic white mask on their face, must pierce a star with the sword, while riding a galloping horse.
Monday – Day 3
ORISTANO / OLBIA
Breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Visit to the Sinis Peninsula , where there are the ruins of the ancient city of Tharros, the Paleo-Christian Church of St. John of Sinis and the Hypogeum of Saint Salvator. In the afternoon, we turn back to Olbia. End of the tour.
