Friday – Day 1
OLBIA / DORGALI / CALA GONONE / SANTA MARIA NAVARRESE
Once arrived in Olbia, we will go toward Dorgali. This little town, is famous for its artisan workshops and handicrafs, for the processing of wood, iron and leather, as well as the processing of gold (Sardinian filigree), to all of this it can be added the art of making wine with the renowned Cantina of Dorgali. This Winery, produces wine and is famous for an excellent “Cannonau”, a typical red wine that meets perfectly as a “bride” to various meals, from roasted meats to Sardinians cold cuts.
We will leave Dorgali continuing toward Cala Gonone, where we go on a boat for the excursion to the Cave of Bue Marino. This cave can be accessed only by sea, and it owes its name to its secular guest The “monk-seal”. Unfortunately they have not been seen anymore for several years now. We will have Free lunch. In the afternoon, we will drive to the region of Ogliastra, arriving in S. Maria Navarrese, You will have hotel accommodation, dinner in a restaurant and overnight.
Saturday – Day 2
S. MARIA NAVARRESE / ULASSAI / ARBATAX / S. MARIA NAVARRESE
After breakfast we will leave to Ulassai, to visit the beautiful cave of ”Su Marmuri”. This cave is considered to be one the most impressive caves of Europe. It is wide about 1 km long and 35 meters high. Su Marmuri is so called “alive” because of continue forming the concretions. We will have free lunch at the end of this excursion. In the afternoon, we will drive to Arbatax, to visit this place famous for its red rocks. In the evening, we will return to S. Maria Navarrese, and have dinner in a restaurant and overnight.
Sunday – Day 3
BAUNEI / ALTIPIANO DI GOLGO / OLBIA
After Breakfast, departure to Baunei to meet the boys of the wheeled train. Then we will leave to the plateau of Golgo. This plateau is rich and famous for his archeological evidence and “Su Sterru”, one of the deepest chasms in Europe. There will be a visit to the beautiful country church of St. Peter with the attached shelters for pilgrims ”Cumbessias”. After visiting the church, we will have lunch in a farmhouse with typical Sardinian specialties. In the evening we return to Olbia by bus. End of the tour.
